Rose & Womble Resale Offices Hold Book Bag Drives

We love showing off the generosity of our resale offices, especially when the offices work independently to help children in their community.

Our Chesapeake Office has a “We Care” committee that raises money throughout the year for different events. Every year this office purchases book bags and school supplies for students at Carver Intermediate. This year the office donated 65 book bags full of supplies that deserving students will use to help get them off on the right start for school. This is an annual event for this office.

Karen Gaskins, the managing broker of the office, is a former teacher and believes that children who have the correct supplies for school will have a leg up. She and her office works hard to help various charities in their immediate area, including supporting the Prince of Peace Food Pantry and providing opportunities for responsible hazardous waste destruction.

Our Greenbrier Office also recently collected money to provide book bags for the Cathedral of Faith, Church of God in Christ Bible Study in Chesapeake, Virginia. REALTOR® Carmen Anthony organized the fundraiser. The office was able to raise the money for 113 book bags to help the church provide supplies for children in the area.

We’re so proud of our offices for stepping up and getting involved in their community. It’s another example of why we believe people are more important than houses.
