Over 2,300 people enjoyed a complimentary day at the Virginia Zoo in Norfolk, VA
The 13th Annual Chesapeake Client Appreciation Event was held on June 7th at the Virginia Zoological Park in Norfolk, VA. This is an event, which provides the opportunity for the REALTORS® of the Chesapeake Office to reconnect with past clients, that is made possible thanks to numerous sponsors. The day was filled with views of tigers, elephants, and even giraffes. Over 2,300 people attended the event this year which included a full day’s admission to the zoo as well as a picnic lunch catered by Beach Bully.
“I invited about 50 clients because I’m so appreciative of the business they have given me. It’s a perfect way to keep in touch and allows them to help form a relationship with their agent,” said Chesapeake Office agent Mathew Obenaus.
The sponsors were also on hand to enjoy the festivities, which included face painting for the children, a DJ rocking the place out, and a photo booth. Many of the sponsors love attending the event because of the opportunity to meet so many potential leads and customers, “The face time with everybody because this is the least expensive and a fun way to advertise. We’ve sponsored as a vendor with the office for the past four years. They’re great,” said Dave Morgan from The Brick Kicker Home Inspection.
Many of the office staff and agents spent the day at the zoo, volunteering to check clients and guests in and ensuring that the picnic food lines flowed through. The hard work from the Chesapeake office did not go unnoticed from the zoo staff.
“Having a smooth event takes a lot of work, and this group brings in so many volunteers. This event is actually one of the largest that the zoo hosts each year. Rose & Womble has basically taken over the zoo for the day,” said Nikki Henning, Events Coordinator at the Zoo.
The clients were also very impressed with zoo event.
“Man I can’t wait until next year,” said Chesapeake client Melinda Banner. “It was just awesome. The food was spectacular and great weather.”
“I work for BAE and we do something similar but this has been a first class event,” said John Reid.
