The Rose & Womble Foundation’s 24th annual Turkey Brigade was a huge success due largely to the generosity of our agents and sponsors. The Foundation, through agent, staff, and sponsor donations raised enough money to feed 1,350 families throughout Hampton Roads a full Thanksgiving dinner including turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, apples, potatoes, canned peas, corn, green beans, gravy, rolls, and a roasting pan.
We work closely with local social services offices, Friends of the Elderly, Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing and the military to find families in need of a Thanksgiving meal. Deltaville Market and Richfoods provide the best quality food items at the most affordable prices.
The items for the dinners arrived early Thursday, November 17 at the Rose & Womble Harbour View location and were distributed by employees from Deltaville Market.
