Holiday Happenings in Hampton Roads

We’re so lucky to have some amazing Holiday events right here in Hampton Roads. Here are some can’t miss events to plan for this Holiday Season. But there is a special place in our hearts for two great Hampton Roads traditions: amazing light displays and spectacular performances of The Nutcracker.

Light Displays

Festive fish, jumping dolphins, frolicking porpoises – all in bright, colored lights against the clear night-time sky, are the stars of Holiday Lights at the Beach.  They are joined by Santa, elves, and a 40-foot tall Christmas tree erected on the beach and in the beautiful parks along the Virginia Beach boardwalk. The display will last from now until December 31st.

The cost is:

The Cost is:

  • $10.00 per car and $60.00 per bus (cash, credit cards, and checks made payable to the City of Newport News are accepted; advance/gift tickets may be purchased at the Newport News Visitors Center)
