Jimmy Gillerlain, Managing Broker for the Suffolk/Harbour View Resale Office, will be participating in his third Tour de Cure bicycle ride in support for the American Diabetes Association on April 25th. The event will begin and end at Kings Fork High School in Suffolk, and Jimmy will complete 100 miles. Other riders can choose 10, 25, or 65 miles during the event.
Jimmy was interviewed in the Suffolk News Herald and said, “It’s a very worthwhile cause, and people just don’t realize that so many of us are touched by diabetes. Unfortunately, most of my family has been riddled with diabetes, so I’m trying to give something back.
The local American Diabetes Association hopes to raise $450,000 from this event – Jimmy’s personal goal is $1250 – and he’s getting close. To help Jimmy make his goal please go to his fundraising website.
