Chesapeake Manager Wins Lifetime Achievement Award

We are so proud to announce that the Hampton Roads REALTOR © Association’s (HRRA) 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award went to our Chesapeake Managing Broker, Karen Gaskins. This award is given to REALTORS© who exemplify leadership and have made lasting contributions to the association and the real estate industry as a whole.

“Karen is all about commitment, leadership, and sharing of knowledge. She really exemplifies the characteristics this award represents,” said Rose & Womble Realty Company’s Resale President Ron Foresta.

Karen has been a Managing Broker for Rose & Womble Realty Company since its formation in 1998, and was previously a REALTOR© and Managing Broker for Womble Realty before that. Since becoming the managing broker of the Chesapeake office, Karen has grown the team from 11 agents to over 80 full time agents. Plus she has a consistent track record of success. An award winning teacher for Chesapeake schools, Karen brings her teaching background to her agents in the form of meetings, classes, and one-on-one instruction. This has helped her office continually maintain a top ranking for Chesapeake real estate office. Within the company her associates have been a top listing and sales office and averages over 700 sales per year.
Most importantly, Karen’s agents and fellow Rose & Womble managers really benefit from her leadership.

“Karen Gaskins is a remarkable individual on so many different levels. She is first and foremost a terrific human being. She is a great example to all of us in the managing broker position of someone to look up to and emulate,” said Greenbrier Managing Broker David Drogus. “I know that I am a better Broker because of the many years of her influence that I have had the good fortune to be a part of. It has truly been a privilege all of these years to work so closely with her and I couldn’t be more proud of her winning this designation!”

We completely agree. Congratulations Karen.
