Our New Homes Specialist, Jen Barkan, is proud to host a weekly social media chat called #AskJenLive! Each week, Jen brings an adoptable dog with her while she features an available new home or new homes community. As if that isn’t cool enough, each new homes builder sponsors the dog by paying for its adoption fees once a suitable owner is found!
Here is Jen’s recap from her travels:
As many of you know, I am a big supporter of local communities and what makes them special. This week for #AskJenLive I am in Dallas, TX and will be featuring local attractions and of course, as many dog-friendly spots that I can find!
My first stop in Dallas was the Historic Grapevine to check out some local eats! This area of Dallas has lots of great shops and restaurants, reminds me of the Ghent neighborhood back home in Norfolk, VA.
My next stop is at Big Fish Seafood Grill & Bar in downtown Grapevine for some Po’Boys. The food and service was great, definitely somewhere to visit next time you’re in town!
Now that we’re refueled, I have arrived at the SPCA of Texas–my home away from home! This facility is truly incredible, I can’t wait to take a tour inside and meet some pups.
As I said before, the SPCA of Texas is really state-of-the-art…check out this chandelier! During the tour I was able to meet some pups and also chat with Courtney, the Animal Care Manager here at the SPCA of Texas.
